Made of 100% sheep wool, our handwoven thick wool rugs feel beautiful, look beautiful and keep your home cosy. Handmade with two types of wool – Herdwick and Texel – sourced from UK farms, each grey wool rug is sustainable and synthetic fibre free. They feel soft underfoot and will be a striking focal point in any room.
We're often told that Herdwick wool is too attractive to be stuck up the chimney as a Chimney Sheep. It's taken a while to source the expertise to weave the Herdwick wool into a rug. The wool is coarse and wiry, but by combining it with another Lake District wool, the softer Texel, we can at last bring you these artisan rugs.
With the stunning naturally occurring grey shades of the undyed Herdwick wool and the softness of fine Texel wool, our hand-woven rugs will sit perfectly in any room in your home. Whether you have a contemporary home or a period property, loud maximalist interiors or subtle minimalist interiors, our high-quality rugs will complement or contrast with almost any style of home. Due to their handmade nature, each of our rugs is completely one-of-a-kind which ensures that your rug will be a truly unique home decor piece and definitely a conversation starter!
To ensure there is a rug suitable for every room, we’ve created our handwoven grey wool rugs in a range of sizes. From small wool rugs for cosy rooms such as snugs, hallways and small bedrooms to large wool rugs for grand rooms such as living rooms and large bedrooms, we have got a size to suit your home.
Our rugs are not only beautiful but functional too. They are a great way draught-proof and add some extra insulation to rooms with wooden floor boards, helping to keep rooms warmer and reduce energy bills.
