Johnston & Jeff Ground Bird Feeder

Supports & protects wildlife

Have you got lots of ground-feeding birds in your garden that don’t use your traditional bird feeders?  But are you worried if you scatter seeds on the ground, that big greedy birds like pigeons and magpies will eat it all and scare away all the ground feeders?

It is quite a common problem, but we have a solution! Our Ground Bird Feeder Sanctuary is designed to be placed on the ground to ensure small, ground-feeding birds such as robins, song thrushes, wrens and house sparrows can access food.

Just place your usual birdseed in the feeder tray and leave it in your garden for them to feast on. The gaps in the metal cage are big enough to let those lovely little ground feeders access the food safely all year round, keeping out those bigger greedy birds, cats and any other predators.

Made from steel. Dimensions: H 30cm x W 50cm

Squirrels love it!

This feeder is a good idea in theory as it does prevent pigeons from reaching the food. Unfortunately the bars are also too narrow for blackbirds, but plenty wide enough for squirrels - they’ve had a lovely time polishing off the bird feed before the small birds get a chance.

Brilliant product

Well packaged and a very sturdy product, the smaller birds in my garden loved it.

Very disappointed

Mine came all scuffed up for a start. It also doesn’t keep bigger birds out, I’ve had a pigeon stuck in it and a seagull keeps dragging the dish out. Overpriced garbage, it doesn’t even sit right and pushes the dish up out of its resting place. Definitely don’t recommend.

Disappointed

What a disappointment. For some reason i thought his would stop the pesky squirrels from pinching all the bird food, but no, they can get through the gaps as easy as pie, what a waste of money. Seen one better than this elsewhere at a fraction of the price that the squirrels for sure won't get through, but alas i can't afford it now. The thing itself is made of first class material and cannot be faulted, just beware, it is not squirrel proof as i have found out, much to my cost.

Not used yet

Not sure my blackbirds will get through the gaps yet, I must been feeding them too much
