Sheep Wool Garden Fleece

In Stock

Select Size: 1 Linear Metre (1.7m x 1m)

Made in the UK

Wanting to protect your plants against bad weather or pests? Then our garden fleece is just what you need!

The fleece is thick enough to create a barrier of protection against frost, wind and pests but lightweight enough to allow light penetration. Versatile in its uses, the fleece can either be pegged over whole beds or wrapped around individual plants.

Made of 100% sheep’s wool, the fleece is a much more sustainable option versus the traditional polypropylene fleece horticultural fleece.

The felt is 1.7m wide, 4mm thick and is priced per linear metre. For example, if you placed an order of five, you would receive a piece of wool felt measuring 5m x 1.7m.

Buy Land Plant Trees

At the core of Chimney Sheep is our Community Interest Company, Buy Land Plant Trees (BLPT). For every purchase you make with us, 20% of the profit facilitates the planting of trees on agriculturally poor land in Cumbria.

We set up BLPT in 2019 as a ‘boots on the ground’ tree planting initiative. The company is run by us and the tree planting is done by us. We do it to help you and us to reduce our impact on the planet. The trees we plant reduce CO2 output as well as contribute to the reduction of flooding and the creation of habitats for wildlife.

BLPT isn’t a tick box exercise nor a distant and detached carbon offset company. In fact, this is as much part of our business as the products we sell and is an integral part of our ethos. We are big believers in the phrase ‘think globally, act locally’ and want to make a genuine difference

Excellent Quality

This is a beautifully made sheep wool garden fleece. Thank you.

Absolutely so much better than expected

Large, fluffy, and smelling so nice that I was almost about to use it to make a blanket! I ended up using it as a mulching layer to protect my cucumber plants from the slugs. The qualoity is absolutely fantastic

Lovely as a fleece didn’t work against slugs

This is a really nice product. I bought it to help deter slugs which have been causing havoc in my kitchen garden this spring. It didn’t work as a deterrent but it is a really nice luxurious fleece to keep plants snug outdoors. Like a previous review stated its good enough to use as padding for sewing projects. Delivery was also very good and fast.

Good protection for seedlings

Used in conjunction with the garden felt. Ran out of indoor growing space so had to move out tomato seedlings although it’s a bit early in the growing season. Planted in propagator cells with lids. Have survived hard frosts. Would recommend.

Amazing! I've laid this on my bed and I'm really happy to be avoiding plastic.

Good value for money and avoiding plastic. What's not to love.
